Just wanted to say once again how much we enjoyed our stay at the Inn On Decatur. Everything was wonderful, the room, the food, the hospitality. We appreciated in particular, your extending us the courtesy of leaving our bags at the Inn and taking a quick shower before our return home on Friday. This was the first time we’ve traveled with bikes, and being able to make shuttle arrangements through you really helped. A belated thank you for assisting my friend, Steve Kreseski, when we arrived in Cumberland last on the Saturday evening on Memorial Day weekend without hotel reservations. Your inn was full but you were tremendously kind in assisting Steve and I in finding a place at the Trail Inn in Frostburg. It was nice of you to take time to assist us and I will be certain to recommend the Inn On Decatur to my friends who might be making their way to Cumberland. Up to our recent adventure of riding the GAP and C&O from Pittsburgh to DC, Linda and I didn't have a great deal of B&B experience. Well, we still are not quite qualified to write a book on the subject, but I can tell you this.... we stayed at four different B&B's on our journey and yours was flat out the best. Now that's not to say that the others were bad, it's just that yours was that much better.
You were the only host that knew that a quality stay at a B&B was more than a clean, well decorated room and a pleasant breakfast. So much has to do with the warmth and positive energy of the host. When we left to continue on our journey, we felt that we were leaving a friend and one that we would again like to visit in the future.
O.K., now about that breakfast. Indeed.....the breakfast! I have personally stayed at some exceptional Hotels in New York, Beverly Hills, Las Vegas and a few in Europe. I can honestly say that I can't remember enjoying a finer breakfast at any of those places more than the culinary masterpiece that you prepared for us.
You may recall that Linda is a survivor of a brain aneurysm and four years ago was laying in a coma given only a 50/50 chance of survival. We decided to name this ride "Linda's Coma to Capital ride". Our stay at the Inn on Decatur certainly added a wonderful element of color and hospitality for our story. Thanks again Gail.

Ernie and i wanted to send our appreciation for letting us stay at your B&B during our bike trip...It was a wonderful stay and great breakfast. Your husband and Housekeeper took good care of us!! We were sorry we did not meet you....but hope to do the trail again in the opposite direction next time PA to DC!! It was a wonderful experience! Thanks for a comfortable and relaxing stay at the Inn on Decatur. The bed was great, and we loved the snacks and guest kitchen which was stocked with anything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious, and your kindness, enthusiasm, and knowledge of the Cumberland area helped us to have a great time. This was a perfect get-away.

Thank you for a great respite in Cumberland. We loved your beautiful B&B and would recommend it highly. Tastefully decorated, clean, home-like conveniences and amenities, within walking distance of downtown, quiet (especially at night). I can't believe we didn't think to get a picture of it with you and Steve. Cumberland and staying at your place were a definitive highlight of our trip.
